The Lilypad Stool brings together a precisely wood-turned recycled timber frame with a smooth, carved seat. This unique handcrafted stool is built exclusively for Thor’s Hammer in our recycled timbers by local Canberra craftsman Rolf Barfoed. The design is characterised by a signature contoured timber seat and refined through-tenon joinery that highlights the beauty of the recycled timber.
Premade Lilypad Stools – Ready to Go
We currently have Lilypad Stools available in two recycled timber combinations, ready to view in our Canberra showroom.
Bluegum / Coastal Reds:
Stools with both the frame and seat crafted from the same species, creating a warm, unified look.
Canberra Local Ash with Elm:
Stools featuring a Canberra Local Ash frame paired with an Elm seat, offering a contemporary contrast in tone and texture.
Both options are finished in Osmo Polyx Oil Satin and available for purchase directly from the showroom.

Custom Lilypad Stools
Lilypad Stools can also be custom made in a wide range of our recycled timber species. The typical lead time is 10 weeks. You can choose to have the stool frame and seat in the same species or mix and match to suit your interior style.
Our design team can guide you through the timber options and help you select the right combination for your project. For finishing, you can choose either Osmo Polyx Oil Satin or Osmo Polyx Oil Matt for the best result.

Lilypad Stools are too large for standard shipping, so we will arrange a delivery quote unless you prefer to pick up from our Canberra workshop at 10 Mildura Street, Griffith ACT.
